Youth Workforce & Leadership Initiative

The Youth Workforce & Leadership Initiative provides youth with hands-on exposure to agriculture, equine care, and land-based learning experiences. Through active participation across BCC programs, young people build foundational skills, strengthen confidence, and explore personal interests and potential future pathways.

Who This Program Serves

This initiative is designed for youth and young adults who are ready to learn, grow, and engage in structured, hands-on environments, particularly those who may have limited access to traditional enrichment opportunities.

Program Experience

Participants learn by doing through daily engagement in barn, land, and community environments. Youth take part in meaningful responsibilities such as animal care, land maintenance, and facility support.

Each activity is designed to build accountability, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in a structured and supportive environment.

Alongside hands-on learning, participants engage in leadership development, reflection activities, and goal-setting sessions. Mentors and staff support youth in connecting their experiences to personal growth, education, and future possibilities.
